Our approach examines the location of the Sun.

SITING
Every day, the Sun rises in the East, and sets in the West, yet our buildings ignore this fact. Imagine:

• Breakfast rooms that receive morning light
• Dining areas framing views of the Sunset
• Blocking the unwanted views of neighbors
• Warming the building with the Sun

...and you get a sense of how important the siting of a building truly becomes.

We use simple tools, some modern, others ancient:

• Sun Charts to locate the sun every minute of the day
• Compass mapping to locate the views
• Passive solar to heat and cool the building without energy

The goal is to create buildings suitable for their site and function.
